Adding Style To A Wedding
Every couple wants their wedding day to be a special day to remember. That is why people tend to go
all-out to make the occasion so grand. There are the major aspects of the wedding such as the dress, venue, music, food, and flowers that will all make the wedding memorable, but it is often the smaller details that can make a wedding truly spectacular.
When meeting with the coordinator at your wedding venue, they will likely offer one or two choices of tablecloths and napkins. These are often either white or cream. Most brides today are developing their own color scheme and plan most details of the wedding around these colors. It is possible either to request a certain color of tablecloth and napkins from the venue, since they will likely have a company they work with, or to rent these separately from another company. Having matching tablecloths and napkins adds a distinct touch of elegance to the reception site. It is possible to go one step further and add chair covers in the same or complementing color. This is an addition that people probably wouldn’t notice if it wasn’t there, but definitely notice when it is. These help to tie the reception room and color scheme together.
If it is a traditional wedding, then most likely there will be water goblets on every table. Consider
adding a lemon wheel to each glass. This is not an expensive addition, but it looks like it is. Along the same lines, consider adding a strawberry to all glasses for the champagne toast. This costs slightly more than the lemon wheel but it looks and tastes beautiful. Guests will be impressed with the amount of thought put into the small details of the wedding planning.
The food has to be the best part of the wedding reception. Everybody looks forward to savoring the delicious delights that grace the tables. Welcome your guests with a pre dinner cocktail hour. Usually you will find a variety of spirits and mixers served but why not greet the guests with a margarita fountain. A small pasta station is becoming quite a popular addition to the cocktail hour. A small table with just a couple of different pastas and sauces is a great way to keep hunger pangs at bay before the wedding feast. Once the main meal is over, rather than serving individual cofees, consider a coffee buffet with different types of coffee on offer. Again these are not too expensive items to add, but your guests will remember them.
Setting the stage with special extras is the best way to create a memorable and elegant wedding. Try to tie in the color scheme by renting matching table linens and chair covers. Add lemon wheels to water goblets and strawberries to champagne flutes. Offer special additions before and after dinner such as a drink fountain, pasta station, or coffee buffet. Choose one or all of these recommendations to have a truly elegant wedding.
