Dream Journals and Astral Projection
It is highly likely that you have already had an astral projection at some time in your life, but you probably remember it as a dream. It is very possible that one of your more realistic dreams is actually
you going on astral journey.
The best way to learn how to astral project is to keep a dream journal or diary. We cannot begin to understand dreams until we begin to remember them. One of the most effective in interesting ways to achieve this is to keep dream diary.
I find it is best to have a notebook or pad by my bed at all times, this notepad is used only to record my dreams in and never leaves my bedside. No matter what time of the night I wake up at I can record my dreams straightaway and not risk losing them while I am looking for a pen and paper.
When you wake up, and before you start to rise, close your eyes for a few seconds and try to recapture some of the images. Most dreams are a series of images, and remembering one could trigger a sequence. If you cannot recall any images, try to remember how you are feeling as this too could trigger a fragment of a dream.
It is very important that you write in your dream diary first thing in the morning before you do anything else. Include all the detail you can remember, regardless of whether you think it is relevant, and even if it doesn’t make sense. I also recommend that you write in the present tense as this makes the dreams seem more realistic. Begin by writing down the basic themes and your feelings during the dream, then you can add the specifics later.
The more regularly you write down your dreams the more associations you will be able to make. You will notice that particular people or objects will make regular appearances, or you may notice that you dream about the same place but with different people. You will also begin to notice patterns in your dreams, and associate these with your feelings at the time, such as stress, or happiness.
Keeping track of your dreams is one surefire way of finding your own method to control your out of body experiences. Astral projection is not something you will acquire instantly you must work at it, but it will come eventually.
Dream language consists of symbols and metaphors. These symbols are often very confusing, but at times they are also easily understood. The significance of these symbols changes according to each person and their experiences. You must learn to interpret your dream symbols in order to control your out of body experiences.
